"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink...naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me" (Matthew 25:35-36)
Blessing for Expectant Parents
Receive God's blessing and our support as you journey in pregnancy or finalize an adoption. Join us the third weekend of the month in February, June, or October to receive this blessing after the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass, or the 9:30 & 11:30 a.m. Sunday Masses.
Households in need receive baskets of food at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmastime.
"Sorrow shared is sorrow diminished." As a faith community, we share in your sorry as you grieve the loss of your loved one. If you choose, we can help you in offering the use of our Activity Center and the assistance of our volunteers to put on a funeral luncheon for your guests of the funeral liturgy.
Handling the reality of a loved one's passing is never an easy experience. Sometimes, speaking about one's grief in a setting of faith can provide perspective and relief.
Also, professional bereavement service is offered free of charge at Angela Hospice.
Home & Hospital Visits
If you or someone you know is homebound or hospitalized, we have people who volunteer their time to bring Holy Communion, pray, and visit with those who are. Arrangements can be made to have regular visits.
Lovingly handmade by members of our parish, prayer shawls are available for those who are ill, infirmed, or hospitalized.
Contact our registered nurses by way of their own confidential email address to share any health related concerns, issues, or ideas for future health enhancing opportunities at the parish.
Blood pressure screening is offered monthly after Sunday morning Masses.
The St. Aidan E-mail Prayer Team will pray for your intentions. All prayer requests are confidential. Only the text of your intention is forwarded to the team. Specific names are not necessary.
St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP)
If you or someone you know living within our parish boundaries is in need of food, clothing, emergency funds to help with utility payments or shelter, our secretary will put you in contact with the SVDP team. A team member will meet with you to assess your situation and provide assistance.
Different SVDP chapters cover area parishes, so help is still available for those who are not within our particular parish boundaries.
