Right to Life
God teaches us that all human life has value – in all the stages of life’s development, from conception until natural death. You will soon see a display of 2000 small white crosses on St. Aidan grounds. These crosses represent half the number of children lost through abortion every day in the USA. And these crosses remind us of the sanctity of every life created by God. As Christians, we know that the cross is the greatest symbol of repentance, forgiveness, and love. Through this display, we hear God’s voice reminding us of His second greatest commandment: Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self – even that neighbor who hasn’t yet been born.
As a community of faith and volunteer opportunity for parishioners, we will be putting up the crosses display at St. Aidan on Thursday, July 18 beginning at 11 AM – we would welcome your help, even if you can only spare a half hour or so. Please feel free to contact Robert & Leslie Gola (586-662-5733) if you have any questions. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I dedicated you . . .” (Jeremiah 1:5). “And the King will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me’” (Matthew 25:40). |
