Family Formation

“As the family goes, so goes the nation, and so goes the whole world in which we live.”
(Pope St. John Paul II, November 30, 1986)

St. Aidan's Unique Approach
Once monthly on a Sunday, the entire family will gather for the 9:30 Mass, followed by a light breakfast and interactive formation in a faith topic. Parents will meet as a group while the children enjoy their own grade-level appropriate experience with a catechist. Childcare for your little ones is provided! Coming together as one to conclude the morning experience of worship, formation, and community, families will take home three topics to complete together in the course of the month. These topics are related to the subject matter the parents just explored together.

Note: The entirety of our 2020-'21 program
with the parents will be online:
  • Our once-monthly online presentations can be viewed on either the parish Facebook page, or our parish website blog page at 11 A.M. on the Sunday listed below. We will go live 5 minutes early. Our next session is February 14, 2021.
  • The monthly take home topics for parents and children to work on together will be emailed before our live online presentation. See below for our monthly topics.
  • For parents of children preparing for First Reconciliation and First Communion, you need only spend 15 minutes per week exploring topics that help prepare your child for these sacraments. Separate booklets are provided. See below for further details.
