Explore the Devil’s Tempting Tactics Through a Select Reading of C.S. Lewis’
The Screwtape Letters
Mondays Evenings
Jan 23 & 30 Feb 06 & 13 Dinner at 6 Program from 6:30 - 8 Presenter David J. Conrad, M.A. Theology |
Our calling is to avoid sin and seek a closer relationship with Jesus our Savior. Jesus came into the world to free us from sin, and allowed Himself to be tempted in order to teach us that we will all be tempted, and that God can always bring us through.
Explore the devil’s tempting tactics, brilliantly outlined for us in a series of correspondence between a senior devil, Screwtape, and his apprentice devil, Wormwood, as they attempt to secure the damnation of an ordinary young man. Through a select reading and discussion of “The Screwtape Letters,” we will be better equipped to successfully resist the devil’s subtle lies when we are tempted. |
